London Heathen Kindred is a group of friendly Heathens running social meetings and seasonal ceremonies in London.
We are an Inclusive Heathen group, meaning we welcome people who would like to know more about Asatru or other forms of Heathenry whatever their religious, cultural, or ancestral background, physical ability, gender identity, or sexual orientation. We aim to provide a safe space for people to meet and share information in a respectful and enjoyable atmosphere, free of any bullying or ridicule or bigotry.
Group history.
Over the last 20 years a situation had developed where multiple groups and events in London, all with their separate histories and characters, had ended up being run by the same small bunch of Heathens; this had become confusing for people, and sometimes even for us organisers! So London Heathen Kindred was set up in 2024 to gather several of the groups together under one banner. We hold public seasonal ceremonies (Blóts) as London Heathen Kindred and a public social meeting called Dawn of the Oak (see our ACTIVITIES section for more details). Our group is also a member of several collective organisations; The Confederation of UK Heathen Kindreds and Asatru Europe Network gives us good contacts with other Heathen groups and we have been involved in projects with with many other Pagan groups within the Pagan & Heathen Symposium. Group activities are organised by an informal committee where there are no designated roles or ‘officers’; the various tasks are handled by those who have the time and ability to get a job done when required. Currently there are 6 of us and we have monthly meetings to prepare events.

LHK MEMBERSHIP RULES.
As one of the participating groups in the Confederation of UK Kindreds all members are expected to follow their Community Standards Policy – CHK12.
And all groups in the Confederation are required to declare support for the statement Declaration 127 that was set up by Heathens against Hate.
